bulletChildren’s Hooded Jackets and Pullover Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled by Hard Tail Due to Strangulation Hazard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hard Tail, of Santa Monica, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 130 Hard Tail girl’s hooded jackets and pullover sweatshirts. The hooded sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), C-Mrk Inc., of Vernon, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 725 Boys’ Hooded Sweatshirts. The jackets and pullovers have a drawstring through the hood or waist which can pose a strangulation hazard to children.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Wilton Industries Inc., of Woodridge, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 142,000 Copco Harmony Tea Kettles. The lid on the tea kettle can come loose during handling, posing a burn hazard to the consumer.

bulletAmerican Greetings Corp. Recalls Sport Balls Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada (HC), American Greetings Corp., of Cleveland, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 90,000 (in the United States) and 1,900 (in Canada) packages of DesignWare Sport Balls. The surface coating on the basketball contains excessive levels of lead, in violation of the federal lead paint standard.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Walter Kidde Portable Equipment Inc., of Mebane, N.C., is voluntarily recalling about 94,000 Kidde Model PI2000 Dual Sensor Smoke Alarms. An electrostatic discharge can damage the unit, causing it not to warn consumers of a fire.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bosch Thermotechnology, of Londonderry, N.H., is voluntarily recalling about 90 Gas-Fired Wall-Hung Boilers. An electrical connector can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
