Stephen D. Phillips and Jill M. Webb
Our client had pain in his left hip and thigh when he went to the defendant spine surgeon, who recommended surgery on the plaintiff’s back. The defendant doctor performed the surgery but our client did not improve and still had the same symptoms that he had before surgery. We contended that the surgeon did not properly perform the surgery and failed to remove the disc material that was causing the plaintiff’s symptoms. Our client had to undergo another surgery by a subsequent surgeon three months later to remove the disc material that should have been removed in the first surgery. The defendant made no offer to settle the case. As a result of the tireless efforts of Phillips Law Offices, the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client and against the surgeon. Our client was able to be compensated for the cost of his second surgery and the three months of pain and suffering between the two surgeries.
